Year 7 marks the start of Key Stage 3 for our pupils. Developing their subject specialist skills, pupils will begin to access all areas of the Key Stage 3 curriculum. When pupils enter Key Stage 3 we work very closely with our colleagues, particularly the curriculum team at Trinity High School, to offer the widest possible opportunities and choices for all pupils. Our work with high schools ensures that all pupils can move seamlessly onto Year 9 and are well prepared for their GCSE options in Key Stage 4. In Year 7 the careers programme provides many opportunities for pupils to consider and explore the world of work and develop valuable skills for the future. As our Year 7 pupils are now more familiar with our school, we look to reward this with various roles of responsibility, including opportunities to become Reading Mentors and Librarians.
