The additional Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Mrs James, Mr Clifton and Mrs Smith who support Mr Kearns and Mrs Pugh to ensure everyone in our school community is safe and well.

As part of our commitment to long term safeguarding of pupils, we use our weekly PSHE lessons to ensure we cover the statutory elements of the curriculum and more.  Within PSHE Lessons students cover a range of topics from Mental Health, Resilience, Internet Safety, Careers, Vaping, LGBT+ and Bullying to Relationships and Sex Ed (RSE), Drugs, Discrimination and Prejudice, Transphobia, Gangs, Personal Finance, Body Image and Energy Drinks. Throughout the academic year, we raise the profile of safeguarding and safer schools with assemblies on anti – bullying, LGBTQ+, online safety, road safety, diversity, our school values and many more topics to ensure that pupils can keep themselves and others safe.
