The annual Haider Babar Year 5 indoor football tournament – in memory of a former Birchensale pupil – took place in the Spring Term. Matches were played every Monday and Tuesday and twelve teams entered the tournament.
Each week the competition got even tougher with some excellent 5-aside skills and team morale demonstrated.
The final between ‘The Purple Dinos’ and ‘The Lions’ was a very exciting match, which swung both ways and was very narrowly won by the Purple Dinos 5 – 4. Man of Match was Ethan Stephens who was incredible in school for The Lions saving many efforts, as well as 2 penalties.
